Hooping party!

Hi we had a family hooping party this lovely brisk saturday morning!
Here is a tutorial for how to make Your own hoops:

First the materials(top to bottom in rows): hammer, tube cutter(optional), razor blade, 3/4 straight connectors, decorative electric tape3/4'' 100psi irrigation tubing. I got mine at Lowe's I got 100ft for about $25.00
First take a look at this site for sizing:Sizing Guide I don't trust the waist hoop sizing guide but the artistic hoop sizes are so worth it!
Once you have your size determined begin the cut with the tube cutter(optional)
It should look like the above
Now using your blade finnish the cut(or if you skipped the last step than just cut completely with the razor)

Next lick the connecter till its really wet with spit and shove the two ends together
 Now it looks like above
Now you can have fun decorating!

If you are making a small hoop be very carful not to over bend it to fast!
if this happens to you and you have already put a connector in this is how to save the connector:

 First slit it like this
Then cut like this(below)

Now you can pop it out and save your self some money and a trip back to lowe's

 Have fun!

  1. Wow! This looks fun and much sturdier than the ones you buy at the store. One day when I am brave enough to work with all those tools, I may make one. Thanks for sharing!
